About Annemarie
I inspire connection by focusing on Diversity & Inclusion… from the inside out. Whether when I’m speaking to an audience, leading a workshop, consulting with a client, or writing, I aspire to create opportunities for people to see more – more of themselves, each other, and the world around them.
Imagine what the world would look like if we really knew each other?
As an international speaker, consultant and facilitator on issues of Diversity & Inclusion, I assist organizations and communities to navigate the often challenging journey of creating environments where people feel a sense of trust, belonging, and connection and creating programs and services that are impactful, relevant and meaningful.
I credit my insights and my passion for seeing more to growing up in a household with two very different cultures and languages: my mother is Austrian and my father is Jamaican. I use these experiences and my identities as a biracial woman who is a member of the LGBTQ communities to create dynamic presentations, engage my participants, create and facilitate thoughtful workshops, and provide insight as a consultant.
Before I became a consultant, speaker and facilitator, I was an elementary school teacher in a multicultural school environment, and I have a Master’s Degree in Equity Studies. And in University, I was also a competitive swimmer.
Today, as a proud mother of an amazing 5 year-old, I’m even more committed to building a world where people feel a sense of belonging, have opportunities to connect, and see more – so we can all be more, and go further, together.
