I have always created and craved community.
As an only child for 10 years.
As the peacemaker in my family.
As a biracial person with a sense of homelessness being a mix of two very different cultures and not quite fitting in either one.
As a queer woman who wanted to be a mom, and now is. 🙂
I understand the importance of community, of belonging, and of safety – so that we can be all of who we are, out loud.
Because it has taken me a long time to feel safe to do so.
Because I know how hard and how terrifying it can be to do so.
Because I know how our lives – individually and collectively – can depend on being able to do so.
This is why I do the work I do.
Bringing people together has always been a part of who I am.
And, I love it.
I look forward to the opportunity to work with you.
