We are a committed team with expertise in Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging (EDIB), and Anti-Racism/Anti-Oppression as well as varied lived-experiences, and with a passion to make the world a better place – starting with workplaces (where we spend much of our time as adults).
We specialize in helping people notice more, and assisting in the creation of healthy workplace communities from the inside out – and we have been doing so since 2004. We work with diversity broadly, and specialize in 2SLGBTQ+ inclusion and racial equity.
From the inside out.
This means that we approach EDI/EDIB/D&I/DIBs (whichever acronym you’re using) work from inside each person, outwards. It is a heart-journey. It also means we start inside the organization first, and outwards to clients.
Our goal is to provide opportunities for people to notice and understand more of themselves, each other, and situations, so that we can connect across difference and make a difference in the lives of others. In that vein, an Anti-Racism/Anti-Oppression lens is part of our work.
There are many layers to consider when beginning the D&I journey. Because we believe that inclusion is an outcome, we approach this work in two ways:
- As an opportunity to build community and connection in order to make DIBs work more meaningful and relevant (supporting our common humanity)
- Raising awareness and understanding of the necessary components to engage in creating and sustaining a diverse and inclusive environment
The Heart of EDI – Building Belonging
We are excited to be building an online community for leaders committed to EDIB – called The Heart of EDI. It’s a place for support, learning, leaning in, challenging ourselves and each other and using our heart for this important work, in service to the people we lead.
